Why ObitWriter.Memorial is free
The honest version, because funeral directors have earned honesty.
My name is Jess Fields, Jr., and I’m a fourth-generation licensed funeral director. My family has owned Rosewood Funeral Home in the Greater Houston Area since 1927. The field my grandfather originally bought as a small cemetery has grown into four funeral homes with two cemeteries and a crematory, and serves families of all backgrounds, faiths, and means.
I have spent much of my career working with high-technology companies outside of the funeral industry, and have learned that there’s a lot we could be doing better. First and foremost is the family experience. That’s the problem that I hope to help you solve with ObitWriter.Memorial.
Most software folks introduce themselves with cold calls, but I’d rather introduce myself with a valuable product that you can use to create a better experience for the families you serve. This is a complete product that other people charge hundreds of dollars per year or more for, but costs extremely little to run, so I’m making it free forever with no strings attached. The only thing I ask is to have a chance to earn your business with other products I build — just as we all work with families to earn their respect over multiple generations.
What I will never do
- Charge you later for what was free. What you create here stays free, always.
- Sell, rent, or advertise against guest, family, or obituary data. Ever.
- Contact the families you serve to market anything.
- Hold your data. Export is one click, always.
If that sits right with you, give it a try. If you’d rather talk to a person first, I’d welcome the call — jess@precisionoutreach.com.
